Privacy Policy

How Capathy uses and protects information when you visit our site or use the content-production service.

Effective: 18 August 2026

Information we collect

We collect account and contact details, workspace settings, business descriptions and source URLs, job instructions, messages, recordings and uploaded files, generated ideas/scripts/research, service usage and technical/security records. Stripe processes payment-card details; Capathy receives transaction, subscription and invoice information rather than full card numbers.

Why we use it

We use this information to create and deliver videos, authenticate and support users, administer trials and paid allowances, process billing, prevent abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot failures and meet legal obligations. Where applicable, our bases include performing the contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, consent, and compliance with law.

AI processing and sources

Capathy sends relevant instructions, workspace context and configured source material to Google's Gemini service to research ideas and generate scripts or talking points. Gemini may use Google Search grounding and access public pages linked from your workspace. Generated research can include source URLs and evidence so later content stays connected to the same facts. Do not submit secrets, special-category personal data or material you are not authorised to use. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before recording or publishing.

Uploads and service providers

Uploaded recordings and production files are stored using Cloudflare R2 and made available to authorised account members and assigned editors. We also use providers for hosting/database services, Stripe payments, Google Gemini and Search, and transactional email. Providers process information only for their service role and may process it outside your country using the safeguards available under applicable data-protection law.

Sharing and retention

We share information with authorised workspace users, the assigned editor and the providers needed to operate Capathy. We do not sell personal information. We retain active account and production material while needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal obligations. Invoice, tax, payment and anti-fraud records may be retained after closure where legally required.

Closure and deletion

Closing an account immediately disables sign-in and access; it does not immediately erase the underlying account record, workspaces, jobs, uploaded videos, AI-generated content or research. This protects ongoing records and permits required billing/legal retention. To request deletion of eligible data, contact [email protected]. We will delete or anonymise data that is no longer required, but may retain billing, transaction, dispute, security or legal records and limited suppression records.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may complain to your data-protection authority. Contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity.

Security and changes

We use access controls, encrypted transport and operational safeguards, but no online system is risk-free. We will update this notice when processing materially changes and show a revised effective date.
